Course Description
In this Revit Architecture training course students use Revit® Architecture 2012 to learn about building information modeling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation. Students begin the Revit Architecture training course by learning the fundamental features of Revit Architecture 2012, and then progressing through schematic design and construction documentation, before finishing with design visualization. Students should be able to complete their first Revit Architecture project after completing this Revit Architecture training course.


Objectives
The primary objective of this Revit Architecture training course is to teach students the concepts of building information modeling and introduce the tools for parametric building design and documentation using Revit Architecture 2012. After completing this course, students will be able to:
  •  Describe the benefits of building information modeling.
  •  Use the fundamental features of Revit Architecture 2012.
  •  Use the parametric 3D design tools to design projects.
  •  Create detailing and drafting views. Create construction documentation.
  •  Use the presentation tools for design visualization.


Prerequisite:
  •  No previous CAD experience is necessary. However, before attending this course, the student should have a       working knowledge of the following: Architectural design, drafting, or engineering principles.
  •  It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP.

Revit® Architecture 2012 – Advanced


BIMGS provides training for Revit Architecture 2012.


Course Description:
This course covers a wide range of advanced topics in Revit® Architecture 2012, continuing to build on the concepts introduced in the Revit Architecture Essentials course. Students learn about site design, advanced rendering techniques, phasing and design options, creating families of custom components, and collaborating on a design.


Objectives:
The primary objective of this courseware is to teach students the powerful tools and advanced techniques for creating complex designs and professional-looking renderings, creating conceptual designs, creating and customising objects, and collaborating on designs with other team members using Revit Architecture 2012.

This Revit® Architecture training course offers both imperial and metric hands-on exercises representing real-world design scenarios. The primary objective of this Revit® Architecture training course is to teach students how to use powerful tools and advanced techniques in Revit Architecture 2012.


Who should attend?
  •  Experienced users who want to get to grips with the advanced features of Revit Architecture 2012.


Prerequisites:
  •  You should have completed the Revit Architecture Essentials course or have equivalent experience using Revit       Architecture.
  •  Architectural design, drafting, or engineering experience is highly recommended.
  •  It is also recommended that the student have a working knowledge of Microsoft® Windows® XP or Microsoft®       Windows® Vista.

BIMGS provides training for Revit Structure 2012.


Course Description:
This class begins with the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit Structure, then progresses through schematic design, system analysis and construction documentation, and finishes with design visualization. This course includes exercises representing practical, real-world engineering design scenarios. Each exercise contains step-by-step procedures and graphics to help you complete the exercise successfully.


Objectives:
The primary objective of this course is to teach the student the basic tools and techniques necessary for professionals to create Structural plans using Revit® Structure 2012.Upon completion of the course, the student will:
  •  Have a clear vision of Building Information Modeling methodology.
  •  Describe building information modeling and the benefits of bidirectional associativity
  •  Navigate through the interface, manage views and identify structural elements
  •  Start new projects, create levels, import files and use column grids
  •  Work with structural walls, sections and elevations
  •  Create form framing, roofs, structural steel frames, sloped beams and floor decks
  •  Create foundation slabs and footings and grade beams
  •  Create stairs, ramps and elevator pits
  •  Prepare the analytical model for analysis

  •  Existing AutoCAD users who are new to Revit® Structure 2012 .

Revit® MEP 2012 (Plumbing & Piping)


BIMGS provides training for Revit MEP 2012.


Course Description:
This class begins with the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit MEP, then progresses through schematic design, system analysis and construction documentation, and finishes with design visualization. This course includes exercises representing practical, real-world engineering design scenarios. Each exercise contains step-by-step procedures and graphics to help you complete the exercise successfully.


Objectives:
The primary objective of this course is to teach the student the basic tools and techniques necessary for professionals to create M&E plans using Revit® MEP 2012.Upon completion of the course, the student will:
  •  Have a clear vision of Building Information Modeling methodology.
  •  Use the different parts of the Revit MEP user interface and work with different types of Revit elements and families.
  •  Manage the different views and change their properties, control the visibility and appearance of elements in       different views, and work with section, elevation, and 3D views.
  •  Set up a project using different templates, link Revit models, share projects using work sets, define discipline       settings, and import and edit DWG details.
  •  Create spaces and zones in a Revit model.
  •  Analyze an analytical model for conducting a building performance analysis, define heating and cooling loads       information, and calculate heating and cooling loads.
  •  Create HVAC systems, generate HVAC system layouts, and create and modify ductwork using Revit MEP tools.
  •  Lay out and create system piping.
  •  Create plumbing systems, fire protection systems, electrical circuits and wiring.
  •  Monitor changes in files of other disciplines linked to Revit MEP and check and fix interference conditions.
  •  Work with callout, detail, drafting views, text, tags, dimensions, legends, and schedules.
  •  Add title blocks to a sheet, update the project information in a title block, and work with sheets.
  •  Create and modify families.
